Observation To fully understand
and learn about MIR, you will need to observe a classroom.
By seeing our program in action, you will gain a first-hand
understanding of how Montessori can benefit your child
at all ages and stages. |
Toddler
and Primary Students (ages 18 months - 6 years) Parents
need to schedule an appointment to observe the prospective
program. This observation appointment is usually 20 to
30 minutes and is for parents only. For the Primary program,
visits may be scheduled for children 5 years and older
after parents observe a classroom.Children do not need
to be potty trained to enroll in the Toddler program,
ages 18 months-3 years. However, children applying in
the Primary program, ages 3-6, must be potty trained
at the time of enrollment.
Elementary Students (ages 6-12 years) Parents
need to schedule an appointment to observe the prospective program. The observation
usually lasts 30 to 40 minutes and is for parents only. Parents are requested
to bring in a copy of their child's most recent student evaluation, progress
report, and IEP/504 forms, if any. Upon review of the information by our Head
of School, parents will be contacted to schedule visiting days for the student.
After the visit, the teachers and Head of School will determine the student's
eligibility for enrollment.
