- To increase parent involvement in the school.
- To educate parents on Montessori theory and practice.
- To encourage communication among the school staff, the
Board, and parents.
- To nurture a sense of community at Montessori in Redlands.
The PTM does this by sponsoring several events throughout
the year, including Camp
Montessori in the spring and fall, the Halloween
Party, and the Spring
Carnival. PTM also sponsors a Parent
Education night, supports Parent
Work Day(s), and supplies an auction item for the annual
Spring Gala
& Auction. The PTM also sponsors the Bluebird
Running Club.
PTM meets monthly for event planning and to encourage communication
between the Board of Trustees, staff, and parents. All parents,
staff, and friends are encouraged to attend. Volunteer room
representatives attend the meetings and help communicate news
and plans to the parents in their classroom.

PTM Board Officers
PTM Board Officers are elected every two years. Instructions
for nominating a parent for the election are announced when
the current board's term is coming to a close.
